Position Title: Technology Intern


Department: Technology


Reports To: Director of Technology


Summary


Assists technology department in general support of district school sites. As an intern,
you will be shadowing an experienced technician as you learn.

Education and/or experience


Language Skills


Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-
on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the
organization.


Mathematical Skills


Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and
to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability

 

Ability to apply problem solving skills carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in
standardized situations.


Other Skills and Abilities


Understand and abide by technology security policies and procedures. Ability to develop
effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community. Ability to
communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to perform duties
with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

occasionally required to walk; use hands/fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with
hands/arms; and talk/hear. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (paper, computers, monitors, printers). Specific vision
abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to withstand long
term use of display monitors. The employee is regularly required to meet deadlines with severe time
constraints and occasionally interact with the public and staff in addition to meeting multiple demands from
several people.
